The BIG SPIN!!!

As a child my parents always had this tradition on Christmas Eve, in which they would exchange a ridiculous amount of CA lotto scratchers. They would stay up scratching them, killing time before they knew their children were all fast asleep, so Santa could come. This last Christmas being our first as Mr. & Mrs. I thought it would be fun if Clay & I started the same tradition. Although there are no children involved, we do have a dog that is very much treated like one.

After 19 duds my very last BIG SPIN scratcher revealed 3 TV SHOW symbols automatically sending me to the show for a chance to spin the wheel for up to 3 MILLION $$$$. Although I did not get to spin the wheel, or win said 3 million dollars, I did walk away $1750.00 richer. The lovely lottery also put us up in a wonderful room right on Universal City walk, so no complaints here ;)

Thanks again to all of our wonderful family and friends who drove out to Hollywood to show support. The whole experience was so much more fun with you all there!

(Before the show....so anxious!)(I'm behind the yellow dress!)

Vera Lynn @ The Blue Cafe

My husband Clay is the lead singer for the "alternative metal" band Vera Lynn. Last Thursday the 13Th they played at The Blue Cafe, in downtown Long Beach. It was their second time playing at this fun little bar, and they had a pretty good turn out for a Thursday night! My sister Heather even showed up baby free, although my niece Kendyl was very upset she couldn't go see her Uncle Clay "sing and dance."

Anyways, here are some favorite shots from the night. I guess it doesn't hurt having photographer for a wife when your in a band =)

Lovely Layla

Saturday evening I headed out to San Diego to visit my friend Gabi. Gabi and her Husband rent this great little cottage right in Downtown. After a night of fun we woke up bright and early for a joint yard sale/ potluck brunch in her neighborhood. I couldn't go home without shooting some pics of her wonderful pup, Layla.
